Meet Bizwomen’s Headliners in Health Care.

Rule breakers. Risk takers. News makers. That’s how we describe the women who make up this year’s Bizwomen Headliners.

Bizwomen Headliners have been recognized by our sister publications in 43 cities for their career accomplishments and community contributions. Each day through February 2, we’ll present women from a different industry category along with their profiles as they ran in their home cities in 2018.

We expect these nearly 800 women will continue making news, and Bizwomen will be telling their stories throughout the year.

Jackie Young

Founder and Executive Director, Texas Health and Environment Alliance Inc., Houston
Her organization is an extension of the San Jacinto River Coalition and received nonprofit status in 2015. Under Young’s leadership, the San Jacinto River Coalition scored a major victory in October 2017 when Scott Pruitt, former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency administrator, ordered a $115 million cleanup of the San Jacinto River Waste Pits. In April, the EPA reached an agreement for the two companies responsible to pay for the cleanup.
