EPA Public Meeting on Jones Road February 27th

Plan to attend the EPA’s meeting on the contamination threat at Jones Road in Cypress next Monday. The EPA will hold a critically important public meeting on the effort to clean up the Jones Road Ground Water Plume Superfund Site on

NOTE: The correct start time is 6:00 pm

This is the first EPA meeting on the Jones Road Site in more than three years and it comes as some very important actions have occurred at the site:

• The EPA has reviewed its plan for the site and determined that it doesn’t do enough to protect the community.

• THEA and the University of Texas Medical Branch have partnered to offer free water, air, and soil tests for 55 area homes.

• Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey has joined THEA in calling on the EPA to move immediately to protect local residents.
